Phickle started out as an internal solution at UT Austin as part of the campus-wide switchover to Pharos Uniprint in 2007. Phickle both greatly improved the end-user experience of Mac Uniprint client installation, and the creation of many installers subsets targeted to individual departments, buildings, computer labs, etc.
